Italy's Generali to Sell 89.9 Percent of German Life Insurance Portfolio to Viridium

Italy's biggest insurer Generali said on Thursday it would sell 89.9 percent of its German life insurance portfolio to Viridium in a deal that would value the company at up to 1 billion euros (883.8 million pounds).
