The Lighthouse, on the National Register of Historic Sites, was transferred from the U.S. Coast Guard to the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service in 2013. At the time, there had been little maintenance performed on the structure and deterioration of the tower and keeperâ¿¿s house was evident.
