Description: This Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) invites qualified research institution to seek funds to modernize existing research facilities that focus on HIV/AIDS-related research. Institutions that support non-human primate colonies are encouraged to apply to update the animal housing infrastructure and research-dedicated space needed for the animal-related research efforts. Any request must be justified by the needs of NIH-funded investigators who used the laboratory space or rely on the animals raised and care for by the facilities. Applications for regular upkeep and repairs are not appropriate for this FOA.
